You shouldn't be allowed to have this
many hooks in one album, pardon the bad pun,
but "nobody" else will be able
to have any thanks to these guys! Fuck me,
this is some of the most infectious rock
n' roll I've heard in ages. From
one song to the next I just kept cranking
this up louder.
I suppose I can't avoid using the four
letters AC/DC here, but I'd be a fucking
idiot not to say they take a lot from the
Aussie Rock Gods. They do put their own twisted
sense of humor on the music though, I almost
pissed myself at the end of the song "Batcave",
you'll just have to get the CD and find
out why. "Nice Rack", "Swedish
Girls" and "She Blew My Stereo"
speak for themselves.
But don't let the funny titles or cartoon
image fool you, these guys are legitmate
players, the solos smoke, the vocals are
right on and the band as a whole is very
solid. One other little trick, you can really
turn this fucker up loud, it sounds better
and better that way, in fact, if you try
to play it quietly it doesn't work so
well, so piss off the neighbors.
Overall, 10 killer tracks (yes, there's
a secret track that MIGHT be a Ramones cover,
but shhhh don't tell anyone). If you
can't enjoy this release you are are
a complete tool, you have no sense of humor
and you probably don't enjoy sex. So
put that in your pipe and smoke it! |
